As an American of Chaldean decent born in Baghdad, Iraq I strongly believe in the service of our country and the defending of our great nation. When the global war on terrorism started I was only a high-school kid and although I was very young I’ve always wanted to get involved in the United States military. Knowing the Arabic language and the culture gave me a great opportunity to get involved with the military and in the beginning of 2008 it all started. Out of many people a few got selected to work for naval special warfare and I was one of those who got the honorable privilege to work for the elite and bad asses. Working for the teams has made me the man I am today. The team guys were not only team guys I worked for, but they were also my brothers, friends, mentors, protectors and family. A special thanks for all the teams and team guys who have given me the honorable privilege to work for them. The freedom our country offers us is worth more than anything I can think of and I personally don’t think I have done enough yet. My journey will continue and I am hoping to get back out there in the near future.
