Scott E. Duffman
1974-2007
From Albuquerque, New Mexico

Air Force, Technical Sergeant
Pararescueman (PJ)
Afghanistan 2007
Words Provided in 2013

Scott was killed in action on February 18, 2007 in a helicopter crash

Written statement provided by Scott's mother
“It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save lives and to aid the injured. I will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts. These things I do, that others may live” these are not just words I recited at graduation, but how I and my team lived our lives. Of all the things I could do in my life, none could ever be more rewarding than to save lives at all cost. None could be more satisfying than to know I did make a difference.  None could be more humbling than to know it was out of Duty, Honor, and Country. This is why I chose my path and would do it all again just to be a part of this elite group – Air Force Pararescue & Special Tactics Squadron.
