Enlisting in the Utah Air National Guard was originally a backup plan. Little did I know it is the best decision I would make for my family and myself. Actually enlisting in the military was not forethought until I met the Workman family. The example they set for me was instrumental in my decision-making. With their help, ten years and nine deployments later my “backup” plan has turned into a very promising career. While the Workman family guided me on the right path, the foundation laid before me by my own parents is what gave me the courage to take the first steps toward this career. It is how they raised me that I continue to build and create the life I have for my son and me. The amount of support coming from my family, especially my parents has been amazing. The support of my family and friends has been monumental in my success and I will forever be grateful to them. I am especially grateful to Katie, Daniel, Melanie, Matt, Justin, Jason, Dave, Chelsey and Greg Clark. I also appreciate the 169th IS and the Utah ANG for the opportunities they gave me as I move on to the next chapter of my journey with the Wyoming ANG.
Lastly and most importantly, above anyone and anything else, is my son Dominic. He is the single greatest part of my life and without him and his support; I would not be where I am or who I am today.
