SSG Arizmendez........... a Leader, a Husband, a Father, a friend
I remember that while a bunch of other NCOs would want good and experienced soldiers, he would always look for those who were struggling in an area and mentor those. I heard him say once "every soldier has a great soldier inside of them. You just need a good leader to make him realize it".
He was a consummate professional..He always knew how to get the job done and never once did he forget to make those who he worked with realize how much he appreciated their help. By far the most gracious man I've ever met.
He made the simple stuff in life fun. Jumping into the pool with his kids as if he was one of them. Always willing to help out anyone in need. Never left a job unfinished. Thinking of him now makes me appreciate the mundane little tasks of every day life more.
He gave without expecting in return, he took care of others neglecting his own needs, he could look over his shoulders and have endless soldiers behind him because he was a leader they would go all out for, he was a great man, father, NCOIC, and friend
He was a man who tried to fix everything and I fully believe, if given the chance he could have fixed the world.
Marc will always be missed by everyone and never forgotten!
